Storage box, unopened for over 20 years

After an event here last week I started thinking about a box I left with my brother in the 90s when I moved to Costa Rica. I went up and got it last Thursday and it was like Christmas. Things I had forgotten about or thought I sold in a yard sale. A great book I bought when I had some early Winchesters, signed by the author, a book I bought about airplane engines when I was interested in tether cars, my Service Manual from my XLCR I had, some great books about early motorcycles by Steve Wright. I lived in Huntington Beach when I was collecting these things and that's where Steve lived so I got to see a lot of his collection and bought all his books that he signed for me. Plus a lot of Vietnam memorabilia I had somewhat forgotten about. Also, the Owners Handbook for my 1955 Austin Healy Le Mans. I thought I had sold that in a yard sale somewhere. Some great memories. Two certificates for Holes in one. my brother hates me for them. There are three books by Steve there but one I took down to photo it, I bought it when I moved back from CR.

Wow....quite a collection there, Dean!

I have collected a lot of memorabilia over the years. Including a ton of surf movie flyers!

Thanks for sharing!

yeah, growing older in SoCal in the 60s I had a bunch but probably sold them to get a beer at some point. I knew Robert August and was in Tamarindo when they were filming Endless Summer II

I bet that Austin Healey handbook is worth a pretty penny. Those Le Mans cars go for huge bucks.

I've been looking on line, trying to check a price but haven't found a real one for sale. Even the Harley book is worth some bucks. I told my wife I haven't seen this stuff for over twenty years and really didn't know I still had some of it so might as well sell it.

I still haven't found anything on the Austin Healey book, Austin Healey 100Z BN2, but she seems to buy what she wants, I don't need to buy her anything right now.
