Oh, and don't stand in line for 3 hours for that stupid lowest priced Michelin star restaurant in the hawkers market in Chinatown. Its disgusting.

Orchard tower, only if you are not with the family. Singapore flyer is cool. Chinatown and bugis are pretty cool to take a walk through. sentosa island has some pretty cool restaurants and stuff to do. I get out there (Singapore)every other month or so. Sunday night is pretty good for a party, it is the hired helps only day off and they blow off some steam.

the zoo is a joke. if you look closely, you can see the animals feet shackled to keep them visible.

Raffles Hotel Long Bar for an original Singapore Sling, then top it off at the Martini Bar!!! The Martini Bar is famous for the last Tiger in Singapore was killed under its porch.

Meh - One of the guys I worked with in 2000/2001 had us go to Raffles and of course he ordered a Singapore Sling. I saw they had Harp and Guinness and ordered a "Black and Tan". I had to teach the bar tender how to make one...

Singapore is like the Disneyland version of Manhattan. I like it, but it just doesn't seem real. People are too nice. Everything is too clean. OTOH, I probably will take my wife there in the next year or so...

In '88, they had a thriving jewelry business where you could still get deals.

The Crazy Elephant was a blues bar I frequently went to when I visited in the navy. Also taking the sky tram to Sentosa was a really nice way to see the city from a different perspective.
