Joining the Duc 900SS club

If all goes as expected, I'll be bringing her home tomorrow. Buying from an ADVrider inmate who has owned it since 1998. It's an SS/CR with 11k on the odo. He's a meticulous owner, has two exhaust systems,Corbin and stock seats, heli-bars no frame cracks ever (I'll verify) and fresh belts, oil, tires, 3M clear film under tank bra, etc.

I know there are several 900SS guys here and I'm sure I'll have questions. For now, I'm counting on bringing her home tomorrow. Updates to follow:

Nice!

If anyone's interested I'm considering getting out of the club for an outrageous price.

Fast by Ferracci HC 944 kit, ported and polished heads, ECU reflash!

That's 'what somebody said.' As far as what it would do or if it is possible or if it even exists that's another story. Could be a yarn the previous owner's mechanic told him.

Did they lubricate the plasma reciprocating dingle arm when they flashed the ECU? They really should be done at the same time.

No, kit made by powerbronze in the UK. I don't think they're made anymore, but you see them come up on ebay occasionally.

She's home! Just got back from an inaugural ride. Poor (very) mans Ferrari. Snarls, grunts, lunges...awesome.

Peter...PM on the way. I agree...tank bra has to go! Thanks!

Fantastic! I'd like to scratch the same itch at some point. They're getting up there age wise but most seem to be well cared for. Good luck with it!

Congrats Sir. It is the only motorcycle I have ever bought, sold, then bought again. I simply love how it makes power. It's a barely tamed horse that would love to buck you off. And the sound....

Congrats on the purchase.

My oldest vintage Duc is 7 years old. No experience on the SuperSports. I'll probably get there one day. They don't come up for sale often in these parts.

Yes, sold the RT to a local retiree who had been looking for a pre-WC version. Perfect bike for him.

Lovely, Mike. Congratulations!
.
An aside: Every time I see a bike loaded up & strapped down w/o a Canyon Dancer I wonder why.
I have two and they're a great item to have...super secure.
.
Again, Congrats.
