Guy who stole Wayne's 914 has been caught...

...and he's in jail, but not talking. Wayne has replaced his baby with this beauty:

![]() Undoubtedly, some of you already know about this, but I didn't know about it until receiving a PP email yesterday, and there was a link to a thread about his journey to get the car: Just in case you thought I was getting too old to do crazy stuff... Cool find, Wayne. ![]() I'm guessing those tires are BFG, based on the decals on the rear quarters and the bit of a look in the photo... which tire are they and how do you like them? (I'm considering the BFG G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S as a replacement on my car, based on favorable reviews.)

Well, that closes a chapter, but I am assuming the car is long gone.

I'm thinking that a Pelican Parts script and logo would look good where the resort ad is now. The car certainly seems to have a good provenance. |

Bingo. Baby is back home again! The full story is coming soon, but the moral of the story is "don't mess with Wayne". The fellow who stole it went back to jail (he was out on parole). The car has relatively minimal damage that I can see, although I have not been able to get it started (the ignition switch is all "screwdrivered up").

To the OP, I have the BFG G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S and they are a great tire and actually work decent in snow if that matters. Much better in the wet than any other tire I have had, except the Goodyear Blue Streak rain tires. They were really good. (Mine are on a sportsy sedan.)
