It might be fun practicing painting. I painted a Chevy truck about the same year a long time ago.

Needs a canopy with a loose back window. And..a bit more power.

Also, looks a lot easier to work on than the modern trucks

Was thinking of a vinyl wrap after sanding down the repairs, rattle-can ripples and chips. The hood needs replacement or serious rust repair.
A Vic Edelbrock 454 would be a nice ugrade over that smogged choke 1970s era 350......bet it is rated at <200hp...... edit: google says 175....

Know that feeling. Have a 71 w200 with the la360. Needs a refresh on everything. Dented the crap out of the passenger door on a forest road since the brakes are sooo bad. But it's a cheap farm/off road pos...
I say no point making it Purdy. Fix mechanical if it needs and leave the patina. |

Leave the body as it is..
Dump in an LS3 or LS7 and eat up all the new Camaros and Corvettes you can find. Nobody would expect a turd like that do do that kind of damage ![]() |

You damned naysayer. 11 MPG is more appropriate.
For Ohio, that truck is The Boss.

It looks like a long bed, I know some people like them but I wouldn't mess with it.

Turbo the low compression small block. Put in disk brakes and suspension upgrades. Make some spare change on the weekend racing ricers.

I'd start looking for a camper and put together "Joe Bob's Mobile Shaggin' Shack".

A 75 Chey would be a rust bucket in Ohio. I'seem them crumble. In the Midwest.
