Skunks will tear a place up looking for grubs. If your garden looks like a small tiller went through it, then maybe skunk.
Whatever became the poop had some fur. Not sure what you have for feline stuff around you, but the fur bits and stench seem to suggest a carnivore souvenir. If the area is fenced, I'd double the feline bet. |

Most definitely raccoon crap. We have quite a few living in a big cypress tree in our yard. They leave their deposits under the tree and in our vegetable garden. The little bastards have also been crapping on our roof.
