What is your EDC?
EDC: Everyday Carry
Subject: Firearm :D I have been carrying an FNS9 Compact. Love the thing. Will post pics shortly. |
Work at a college, so no on person carry. So no CCW paper for me (no need, no use).
That said right now there is a FN-FAL clone in my car with 5 loaded 20 round mags and another 200 rounds in a battle pack, as well as my CZ75BD with 4 mags and 200 rounds of ammo, as well as a 22 pistol and rifle wtih 2 bricks of ammo. And the car is a 50 yard run out the back door and through the parking lot. |
Even if i did carry I certainly wouldn't post it on a forum like this for EVERYONE to see .........
|
i use my index finger and thumb..and make "pew pew pew"sounds.
|
i prefer to call the authorities they will protect me
|
G26 or G43...depending on my mood.

I’ve nothing against guns and love to shoot at the range or cans in the back 40. The day I consider a firearm a necessity to be out and about is the day I move city, state or country. But then I live in SE Michigan and go down to Detroit a lot so I’m used to a safe environment.

SIG P220 these days. It's a lot of gun for CCW, but it hugs the small of my back pretty well and doesn't print. No big deal in AZ if someone sees it, so no need to go small.

Glock 23C, a 40 caliber, with three mags just in case.

G43 IWB or Ruger LCPll pocket carry.
Extra mag with both. Also a Kel-Tec Sub2000 G17 Gen 2 with 2-33rd happy sticks in the truck. Hypothetically, of course. I hate guns. |
I alternate between a Sig 220 and a Sig 227. Both are about the same size but the 227 has 10 rounds. Alien Gear IWB holster with a Hank's amish leather belt. After a while you don't ever feel it.

And ti was raining after work (thankfully!) so after work shooting trip canceled. Aforementioned tools are back in the safe.

<iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/onvx4dXhcHY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Red might be quite familiar with a wide range of spoons... These can be carried, but they are pretty big and heavy and can get tiresome, or so I've been told. https://www.pewpewtactical.com/wp-co...5-1024x667.png These are better since they are lighter and have a shorter slide and much shorter grip, but they can still get tiresome. https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperst...-DEFAULT-l.jpg Surprisingly, this is actually not bad to carry, but the slide and grip are long. http://www.taurususa.com/images/imagesMain/1911B_1.jpg These are, you know, I've heard, very nice to carry and shoot. They are similar to the XDM compact (2nd from the top), but single stack vs dual stack is an improvement in comfort and weight (but you do lose capacity). I think it is also a bit shorter at the slide and the grip. They come with 2 different sized mags, and you can get a plate for the mag that adds a lip for your pinky. http://truthaboutguns-zippykid.netdn...sson.com_1.png |

Not necessarily his fault, many people are ignorant of reality. If he worked in our court system he would be more informed.

Plastic Guns? Why do you Yanks love them so much?
How about a finely crafted classic like this? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1495584645.jpg or... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1495584698.jpg |
Carry options...........
I have had a state concealed carry permit for about 40 years. Until just a few years ago, I seldom carried a firearm. Now, with all of the mayhem going on just about everywhere, I have started carrying a Kimber 9mm Solo. It is small, light and easy to conceal. Most of the time, no one has any idea that I have it with me. Given a choice, I would rather not shoot anyone, but in a life/death situation I would do so! I am not going to be a "soft target" for anyone!

A 1911 is a big, heavy gun. As far as carrying and concealing a gun, big and heavy usually make the job more difficult or more of a pain in the rear. You can get shorter slide 1911 variants, and I think there may be some that use an allow for the frame with a steel slide. Plastic guns are lighter (plastic vs steel). That helps. |
Depending on how I am dressed:
Sig P938 or SP101 357 |
I don't carry, no, no, no.
But if I was to carry; I'd carry this puppy. Model 36 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1495592480.JPG |
Springfield EMP 3" 9mm at 3:00 with a Galco IWB 15* tilt holster 1 spare mag you wouldn't see it unless I told you. I have been around several Cops and no one spotted it.

We can't carry guns here in Belgium, not open not conceiled.
So I carry my knife hands. If it works for Mattis, then it can work for me. https://i2.wp.com/www.unprecedentedm...nife-hands.jpg |
