Soundtracks that are worth a listen

Once and awhile a soundtrack really is amazing.

Please list soundtracks that you find remarkable.

Slice of the 90s. Three of my favorite soundtracks seem to fall in that era.

But seriously, soundtracks I have enjoyed (in no particular order, not sure they're remarkable):

"Serious" music: Blade Runner The Edge of Darkness (old British serial drama - I swear Clapton played guitar for this) Lost in Translation The Magnificent Seven "Fun" music: Repo Man The Blues Brothers The Breakfast Club Better Off Dead |

Dead Man_Jim Jarmusch directed Johnny Depp, Neil Young provided the score

Pulp Fiction_Quenten Tarentino hit a home run with the score here. She's the One_ An OK movie, but the Tom Petty score is a hidden treasure. O Brother Where Art Thou_T Bone Burnett pulls together some of the great American Folk music of all time. The Last Waltz, Concert for Bangladesh, Woodstock, Shine A Light, It Might Get Loud, etc etc... I'll think of more. Easy Rider. Blues Brothers. Hard Day's Night. (Thanks Google Search!) And the guitar player on Mad Max Fury Road was so over the top and outrageous, that he needs to be in here too, even though the music he played was nothing too special
