How to block text and e mail from soliciter

This company text me several time daily asking me to bid on construction remodeling projects. I get to pay them for the lead which I have no interest in doing. I have no idea how they got my cell phone number but I can't seem to block it. The number shows up as 698-27. As soon as I get the text, it shows up in my email immediately but there's no way to unsubscribe the damn thing. Drives me nuts. Any tips on how to deal with this?

Send a message via AIM to stomachmonkey
Send them a bill.

List every text and email, date and time, as a line item

You bill $150 by the hour with an hour minimum so each unwanted text / contact is $150

To get rid of the emails, just mark them as junk/spam. To block the texts, it'll depend upon the type of phone. I think, IIRC, on an Android, you can create a contact called "blacklist" (you can name it whatever you want really, call it assclowns if you want), and then I think you can block the texts from a specific contact. Then for any number that you get texts from, add the number to the "blacklist" contact. For iPhones, I think you can just black list them directly.

I used to get travel specials faxed to me once a week from a travel company that was 1400 miles away. I did what stomachmonkey suggested. Told them that I was billing them $100 for each page they faxed and that their acceptance of my charges would be that they sent any faxes after a certain date.

Never heard from them again.

This, I've sent a few invoices out to companies like this for advertising at our work place. Never heard from them again

I phone.

That's good to know about billing them. I'll give that a try. What a pain in the ass. Thanks
