I don't see Mummy very much anymore. She is off swilling down her Gin and Tonics.

Surprised that Tom Cruise took the part. Expected a better movie with him.

I thought it was entertaining as well, well made technically with a big movie feel. I thought the use of zombies was terrible and especially what another character turned out to be.

It wasn't as awful as the critics make it out to be, but nowhere near as good as the first Fraser/Weisz picture. My biggest peeve with Cruise right now is his refusal to acknowledge his age in his roles - he plays twenty-somethings and other characters are expected to act like accordingly. It was jarring in Edge of Tomorrow that no one was questioning why there was a 50-something Private joining a combat unit like a new recruit during wartime, when ages skew younger. Hell, even a 30-something would seem ancient to those kids.

Having Dr. Jekyll in this movie call him "young man" and "son" when Crowe's a year younger than Cruise was just silly, even with his character sporting a graying beard. Hell, Cruise and the almost-40 Johnson were both a bit old to be Long Range Recon, I suspect.

Saw it couple days ago. Weak. Much much prefer the campy mummy series of movies from a few years back.

I hear you but Edge of Tomorrow was such a great concept that I did not care.

I will check out the Mummy based on some favorable input here but it raised an eyebrow from me when I saw him in the trailer.

Anybody seen the Mummy?

Tabs you have to go into those movies looking to be entertained, not impressed.

I thought it was pretty good, no surprises. Would have loved it when I was 12.
