Any Fans of The Big Bang Theory? New Show "Young Sheldon" Looks Promising
Between Big Bang and Modern Family, those are the only sitcoms worth a rerun IMO. There is a new one coming this fall "Young Sheldon". I saw the trailer - looks decent enough.

Young Sheldons mother is played by BBT Sheldons mothers real daughter!

BBT is an excellent sitcom.
First I'veheard of a sequel. It will be interesting to see how annoying the YS character is.

Big Bang is my go to show when there is nothing else on. I'd rather watch a rerun of Big Bang the a first run of some crappy show and Big Bang always seems to be on some channel.

I hope the writers do a little research and keep with some of the Sheldon lore.

One of the writers for BBT is (was?) from my town.
Little tidbits and minutia show up once in a while. Brady's Bar, for example, and some local trivia gets snuck into the dialogue. |

I doubt it, one of my gripes about TBBT is the writers don't care much about continuity.

Don't they use laughtracks on all sitcoms??
It's about the only tv show worth watching.

The production of a 'live sit-com' for TV is in no way comedic. The laugh track tells you what is funny.
As such, the sound production carries as much, if not more, weight as the visual production. I find that interesting. |

Somehow, this is a mirror image. They are in Penny's apartment, kitchen is on the other side.

I suppose it show why they get paid the big bux... have to do their lines with (otherwise) awkward pauses.

MASH didn't have laughtracks nor does Modern Family. Name any others?

Arrested Development- so funny, I use it to judge people for their sense of humor. If they thought it was funny, you know they got the jokes because there wasn't canned laughter to let them know it was a good joke.
On the other end of the spectrum was Two and a Half Men- I don't think the laugh track ever stopped- no wonder it got highly ratings; people who watched it thought it was hilarious because the "audience" was laughing all the time.
