Sounds like they just threw in everything that a newly rich hillbilly would find nostalgic and put a big price tag on it. Pork rinds and buttered sweet corn do kind of remind me of one of my old girlfriends.

Weird here in Va. Nextdoor to KY, and no Buffalo Trace products available due to allocation. No Weller either.

Little known fact: The decline of American society began shortly after the demise of the whiskey vending machine in office buildings.

It is difficult to get now, at least in Florida. ABC is probably the largest liquor store chain down here and they told me it is allocated and the little bit they get in is gone within a couple of days. Doesn't make much sense to me, but I can't find the stuff down here.

Was at the distillery a couple of years ago. Really old school. Like walking back in time compared to the more modernized and newer distilleries like Maker's Mark, Jim Beam, etc. with formal tours requiring reservations in advance, etc.

I stumbled upon a bottle in unlikely of all places, a Wal Mart Liquor store. I am impressed. Tried to find 1 more bottle, nothing anywhere. Also looking for a second bottle of Blantons, nothing anywhere.

Geez, i might have to check the local Wallymart then. Last time I was in their liquor store, there was a pretty sparse selection of bourbon.

Mine had a case that had to be unlocked. I saw nothing that interested me until I saw the Buffalo Trace, I asked for the case to be unlocked and to have that bottle, last one.

When they rang it up, it was $25... I was in shock, why was it behind glass?

I have been searching for another bottle... nothing.

My son is friends with a kid who is a clerk at a small mom and pop liquor store chain, I planted a bribe, I told him anything Pappy or Blantons, he gets $20 for holding a bottle for me, Buffalo Trace gets him a 10 spot. :D

Lets see how this works out.

more weirdness-we had no eagle rare here in Va other than 375's and now they're gone, but for some reason we suddenly have 1.5's...

It’s so weird because I can find that all day long at $25-$30 a 750 mL at a bunch of different liquor stores.

Their BP offering certainly delivers (even proofed down a bit).
Grab some if you haven't tried it yet...

BT is piled up at my local grocery store. This batch is a store pick which was surprising to see.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1550070622.jpg

I had some of this last night and it was very tasty. Is this the “cheap”
One?

So it's sounding like it's maybe available west of the Mississippi, but not east of? Are they taking what they have and shipping it all out there to increase market share out west?

Rtrorkt 02-14-2019 10:00 AM

question at duty free; Woodford Reserve at $43 or Jack single barrel at $63 or nothing?

I was born way too late. Seems I missed some great times.

Keep this tucked on a shelf in the office for the after 5 nights when I have had a bad day. I have not touched in a while, I guess I have not really had a bad day in a while.

Perseverance pays off!! I was working 3 towns south and saw a little mom and pop liquor store.

I walk and and first see a bottle of Blantons, they marked it up to $170. I was annoyed. The clerk told me, good luck finding one.

I then looked down 2 shelves and they had 5 bottles of Buffalo Trace, slightly marked up to 38 a bottle. I bought 2. I get to finish off my other bottle tonight.

Happy Friday.
