I've got to think that this guy was wedged under a vehicle and dragged a bit. If not, holy hell!

Funny how we've been enculturated regarding some things. I recently saw an old movie where one of the characters took off riding a motorcycle, without a helmet. My thoughts, immediately, went to the "what a dangerous thing to do" region and I that thought never really left me during the whole scene.

Same when I see actors smoking in classic films. Always an immediate, "why are you smoking?" type of thought. Especially when it's someone who later succumbed to lung disease or smoking related illness later in life.

It was basically a bunch of photos of various helmets (motorcycle, bicycle, construction hard hats...) that had actually protected the melon inside. It wasn't specific to bicycles or bikes. Per the link, everyone that had been strapped into the helmets lived.

Some folks should just lock themselves in the house and stay there.
