Koenigsegg, that's not fast. This is fast!

Holy Guacamole, Batman!

I'm guessing for me to do something in the Boxster in similar time it would be 0-100-0 or maybe 0-120/130-0.

That's insanity.

Whenever they want to bring that Egg out to play with the Big Boys, we will be waiting.

Texas Speed Syndicate on the runways at Caddo Mills and The Texas Mile at Victoria

Street cars here run 178 in the 1/4 mile. There 2400 horsepower Corvettes/Lambos etc.

All the Egg could do was 240. Cars here were running 270 on the runways years ago.

Respectfully that's Apples and Oranges.

Those Texas Mile-style cars are like big fake boobs, and the egg is a horny triathelete.

They are all cool.

Are you talking MPH in your Box or KPH like them?

248mph is a bit of a clip, even if it took 1.5 miles to get there. My car only does 190mph, but then again it is 23 years old.

Very cool stuff. I've posted several videos of a tuned Ford GT doing some serious speeds. These aren't production cars, would probably suck to drive to the grocery store and stop with parachutes. It isn't quite the same, but still very impressive.

Yep, exactly.

MPH. I think I'm supposed to be able to hit 60 is about 5 flat, but I assume 120-130 would take a bit longer, and then stopping would also take some time (but not as much as stopping from nearly 250mph). And I just pulled those numbers out of thin air.

I didn't notice what you were talking about, unless you meant the chubby bald guy who is Koenigsegg. He's Swedish, I think he'd get a pass on having a slightly different style. Not to mention, making one of the most hard core production cars on the planet meaning he's probably thoroughly unconcerned about his fashion sense bothering your sensibilities.

the video was clearly intended to evoke a certain emotion. my point was that they missed a bit.

Corvette guy on the freeway is crazy dangerous. He nearly looses it the second time on boost. You can see the rubber he lays down out the rearview camera, there's no way he could keep his foot in it without crashing. Pretty stupid on a public freeway with traffic all around him.
