Too much time on my hands.....
Father's Day. Wife goes to Charlotte to see the children.
A few days later a box arrives, I'm told not to open it until... I didn't know such things were produced and if you think a 911 motor is complicated... So today I opened the boxe to more than just admire the packaging Bruce ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That looks like a good snowy January weekend build.

I still need to get one! Snowy or hot day would be perfect for that.. Any idea on how much longer they will be on sale??

O....K....
I think you have just a little bit too much time on your hands. Any more time I'd suggest a holiday to New Zealand and do some work on a real one (it needs it.) |

I built mine over several nights spread out over a few months. Little space and a 3yo in the house forced me to set up a build table each time I had time and wanted to build.
The thing that took most time during the build is finding the actual pieces in the bags. Get a dedicated build place and sort the pieces so you learn what lies where, it's going to be a lot of fun. Quite the meditation. I get my Lego sets for Father's Day, Christmas, birthday from the missus. I now have Millenium Falcon, the original X-Wing, a Tie Fighter and Slave One in addition to the RS and a Caterham in Lego. Never too old for Lego!

I always found with Lego, it's the challenge of assembly (frustration) and not the final product. None are overly realistic when completed but takes patience and determination to complete... and lots of time.

Think it's the color.. someone painted one purple and it looks pretty good.

The beauty of it is the working inner parts (transmission etc). The exterior is by no means the best part.

Bruce, you're going to love this kit. The manual and box presentation is amazing.
If you know Technic, this is a very realistic LEGO version of the GT3RS. Lego is a toy and a toy like representation of the actual car. The Technic beams always have a very raw look and like Porsche, they are about function over form. This car has a fully working gearbox, steering, realistic suspension and motor that all work and all made up of over four thousand parts! The assembly is the fun part and anyone who likes building will get hours if not weeks of joy. Here's mine.
