Nah, no way, had to have been a bunch of recordings that were then put together.

Great.

Went to 100s of Dead and JGB shows over the years starting in '67. One gig stands out for me....Jerry by himself in '73 at the old 'Golden Bear' in Huntington Beach CA....sitting on stage playing and singing Ripple with the entire audience of maybe 60 people singing with him.
In between songs he would tell stories and jokes. Couldn't see across the room for all the smoke!

"I cant believe david crosby is still around"
~~~~~~~~
An old horse, he.
Watched a documentary years ago about his big time drug habit.
He said, "Once I realized I had only three options, quit, go to prison, or die, I got real."
That's awesome....
Took my kids to see Dead & Co in Boulder and they had a great time. Saw Ripple sang even.
I'm a bit younger, but still remember my first show in 90 and where I was when Jerry passed. Worked that night at Wolf Trap and it was Branford Marsalis and he played an awesome Fire on The Mountain as a tribute....
I still listen to them every day, cd's and tapes.
I had to come back to this thread and give another listen....
Notice they're all wearing headphones...I'm betting that Bill K is the anchor and they all just play along. Edited and mixed down later...
Music....it's just a powerful, unifying force imo...the soundtrack of my life, and has provided more than I can express.
You guys "get it"
Thanks again Jerry...
There are tons of those Playing for Change vids on YT... all are excellent.
How about this old favorite...
