When was the last time you saw it? Not sure if my friend has anything to do w it but I saw it a couple months ago and they've cleaned it up and put a little fence around it to keep the graffiti and other crap off it. Still probably the least impressive grave marker in Pere Lachaise, (cemetaries in Paris are amazing). June 2017:

It's been a number of years. Good to see someone has cleaned it up. Back then it was littered with "offerings" of wine bottles and cigarettes. Very depressing. Pere Lachaise is fascinating. Unbelievable amount of history there. My fathers family lived in Paris, Normandy and Cannes beginning in the late 1800's and up until the Nazi's marched in. My dad was born in Dinard. I've got some fascinating photos of WW1 that I'm in the process of scanning and compiling into a book.

The trust is existing or will be created by her will?

Jim dies at 27, and wills his estate to his 24 year old girlfriend.
She OD's 3 years later, and her parents take control of the estate.
People who may have never even met Jim got his estate.

Read up on commingled assets/accounts. You probably don't want to deposit 'your' inheritance into any sort of joint account.

Consider a dedicated account (be it with a broker, bank, trust, real estate, etc) with ONLY your name as the account holder.

Best to see a lawyer before you accept any funds.

Yep, life is strange.

I think that the most interesting thing about his story is his relationship w his dad, a Navy Admiral. They were estranged when Jim became successful w The Doors. Someone brought a record over and played it for his dad and dad wrote Jim a letter telling him to give up any hope of a music career due to his total lack of talent in the field.

Later on, after Jim's death, his father changed his opinion and considered his son a great poet and writer. It's a myth that his dad was some big redneck, he was actually a very cultured and intelligent man. He loved his son very much.

Sorry for the sidetrack, carry on. I have no knowledge to share on the OP.
