Nail the problem source, as mentioned.

Change the thermostat. It can stick closed and overheat, venting coolant. Even if ok, I would change for general PM reasons.

Also find if there is an air bleed port.

Clogged radiator
Packed fins
Thermostat
Water pump
Leak

Not much left unless some cam/crank sensor/timing issue and that would spit a code.
