Seriously fast car for peanuts... Helping a friend sell.

A friend of mine (Computer Engineer, fastidious, semi-neurotic about his cars) is selling the fastest car I have ever driven. Its a 2011 Mustang GT 6speed, he bought the car new and had it brought to Roush in Detroit to have them work their magic. His goal was a sleeper looking GT with all of the power to take on Euros best.

The car is 100% pristine, no winter use, no rain use, always garaged and detailed to death. Here is a link to his CL posting. I doubt you could buy a better, faster car for less. $$$

That's some serious hardware! Why does it have duel radiator bottles? Or is that standard for a Mustang?

No brake upgrade?

Only half care about how fast it is, care equally about how it stops when going fast.

Seems like a lot of car for $25k. He shouldn't have any trouble moving it.

"Never tracked or raced in any way." I never understood that. i remember reading hot rod magazines and every story about a show car had a list of the go-fasters the owner bolted on. I always wondered the point was.

wd- it's kinda like the story I heard from the guys I grew up next door to. They were about 10 yrs older than me and my brother so were into cars when we were just igniting our interests in them. They told about a '57 Chevy 150 w/FI that some guy had. He never raced anyone, but everyone knew he could beat them in a heart beat without even trying.

Having owned several 600+ HP Roush Stage 3 Mustangs, I can tell you that he needs way more rear tire and bigger brakes. The factory Roush cars had massive 6 pot calipers and oversized two piece rotors, along with comprehensive suspension upgrades. Still never enough tire though.

It's about sitting in a folding chair behind the car with it's hood up, chatting with others walking around looking at cars with their hoods up.

Before you think Porsche or Ferrari owners are any better, keep in mind they do the same thing.

Didn't you post a Hot Rod Mustang a few weeks ago? I seem to remember it was a smoking deal

Mind you if I had $25K burning a hole in my pocket I would be looking at P-Cars.

YMMV

Yep, I did post one. It had been set up for track days. It had the huge brakes, wheels & tires, suspension mods, etc. I was tempted...then remembered how I really drive these days. My stock '09 Bullitt model Mustang is now considered old, slow & obsolete in Mustang circles. But at 26,000 miles, it still gets me to my favorite pool hall & back home. Probably will continue to do so until my driving days are over.

Don't I know it. They don't paint their big brake calipers fancy colors because it makes the car go faster.

Maybe not a supercar, but still relatively quick and with suspension upgrades.

Here's a link to the one I posted. Far more performance development done by a respected shop. They started with a Roush stage three, then did more.
