i'm not saying MOTION reacted from being jealous..at all. i imagine him being quite the opposite actually.

i remember being jealous when much younger. someone talking to my girlfriend getting all flirty. yea i got jealous.

now? not so much. not sure of the motivation; maybe i'm just secure in my relationship. or secure in myself. i know a perfectly normal, married lady that is rabidly jealous..to the point of fighting. she gets PISSED because her husband is not jealous..she interprets it as he doenst love her as much as she loves him. super healthy relationship. BTW

do you think it is a cultural thing? any groups more prone to jealousy? i'm talking about relationship/love jealousy.. not my neighbor just bought a "last legal year" land rover DEFENDER jealousy..

for the record.i would have unfriended that guy for being inappropriate and violating my code..not cuz i was jealous.

I think jealousy when you are younger stems from lack of experience with life situations. I have noticed some groups like Latinas & Asians seem to be more prone to jealousy tjhough. As you get older, I think you understand more that some relationships are fleeting and there are more fish in the sea. Members of the opposite sex are just a likely to move on as you are, and you begin to understand that along with the fact some relationships just weren't meant to be. Richard did the right thing.

The gf is jealous, I'm not. She is a bartender and lots of guys hit on her, and it is fine with me. Sometimes I think she wants me to get mad, but I'm confident about our relationship.

She, on the other hand, gets mad when her girlfriends talk to me. She gets worse when strangers strike up a conversation with me. Several times we are at the mall shopping and some woman looks at me and she asks me if I know her. One time it was an ex then she said she was ugly. lol

I have been married 28 years, I still chase my wife around like we were newlyweds.

I am "only" 51 years old and she is 46 I farking hope our future is not what is painted out here.

I look at my MIL who is 70 and still turns heads, I am pretty sure that is my future too, good genes. My wife and I just met a good friend for drinks the other night, his mother and her husband showed up. She was stopping the place when she went to the restroom and she is 68 years old.

Poor Motion, guy has a complete hottie for a wife, is proud of it, as I would be and am, and get crap from keyboard warriors over it.

I do not think he was jealous, I think he thought his friend was classless and disrespectful. I never for a moment thought he was distrustful of his wife.

Some of the Ahole comments made to him here were IMHO out of line.

Attractiveness has zilch to do with jealousy. It's about having respect and trust in a relationship. When that happens, high school emotional krap vanishes.

I think in a relationship, you need to send clear signals as to what is acceptable to you. If you don't, sometimes people get the wrong idea, that maybe you don't care.

Interesting... I read this earlier today and immediately thought "that's no right" but now after thinking about it I think you are right.

We all catch lucky breaks at times but what we do with them makes all the difference.

I bought a cheap house shortly after my divorce. I initially regretted it because it was run down but after some hard work & time I sold it on for a tidy profit (40% more than I paid). Coincidently my cousin was shopping for a house and saw mine was for sale. He couldn't afford it but told me I was dreaming at the asking price anyway (he knew what I had paid for it). It sold the very next week at my asking price and 12 years later he's still pissed about it. lol
