Man is Forced to Sell His Huge Car Collection - Lots of info inside

Ron Dauzet, a man with well over 200 vehicles on his property, is being forced by Northfield Township, Michigan of a township ordinance banning the storage of unregistered vehicles outdoors. Because of this they're forcing him to sell 20 cars per month off his property. He's got everything from BMW 2002's, diesel Volkswagens, a fourth-generation Mercedes SL, a few Beetles & VW Vanagons, Volvo wagons, Porsche 924 and so much more! Ron has an insane assortment of vehicles so if you're in the market, maybe contact him at one of his ads and see what you can pick up.

Sources say this is what they were told for the reasoning behind so many vehicles on his land:
Quote:
AN upbeat older gentleman who told me he was a huge car enthusiast who had been buying up cool cars since he was 21, but that he was now being forced to part with them.
We've reached out to Ron ourselves and will update you all once we get more info if any of you are interested in picking up anything he may have on his land.

If you can't store em in a way that keeps em from rusting, you have to many cars.
Looks like a big scale hoarder to me.

Hoarder. Sounds like the county is rescuing those cars. The ones that are worth saving at least.

Hoarder of junk cars to start with, the rest the MI winters will have done. If the guy was in the Mojave desert, or if the vehicles were out of the weather we'd been talking but not with trees growing out of them. Sitting on a pasture will destroy the body within a few years, leave alone snow / ice ... it would have to be a very special car to be worth bringing back from that type of "storage".

I've had experience with two of these similar situations. The first one was here in Colton California. Guy owned crap dirt property in the middle of nowhere. His business was towing and storage. Lots of cars would be abandoned on surrounding farms, back roads, back yards. And he would be called to tow them out, store, lien sale, and pocket some $. He took a liking to various models of cars, so presumably the junk would be gone right?
Time went by and the county grew to the point where various business parks were going up around him. Eyesore to the max as it was just chain link fence up to the street. The hammer came down and he was getting to be eminent domained as he did not want to sell , dadgummint ! So he was given 60 days to dispose of all the cars or else they would be scrapped and he would get the bill for that.
There were hundreds of cars when he only had less than 30 days and by our math, if he sold just a few a day, he would run out of time, right?
A group of us went down to "rescue" whatever we could buy fairly that was interesting: Subaru 360 - both the lil sedans and the micro vans, 69 GTO convertible, Alfa 2600 spider, a few 240 z, a few english roadsters were the cream of the crop AND all were projects that needed a lot. We made an offer for 10 cars as a package price. The owner got all offended as he thought the values were worth retail running nice category in his mind. He would not even look at our copy of Hagerty price guides to see how we valued them. So end of story with that guy: He would prefer to see them crushed than have us "out one over on him"

these guys have mental issues as hoarders

Snaps for sidescreens on doors and shape of rear lights make it more like a +4 than a TD imo.

There's a 63-67ish GM pick up in the first or second pic. The body is probably to far gone though.
