They look cool. Other than that, they have little appeal to me. Plus I cannot imagine how problematic that car will be in a few years.

Great looking car & Chris likes it but the fuel economy quoted by BMW isn't realistic in the real world.
In the forums people are reporting around 31 mile per gallon.

I've owned seven BMWs. If somebody gave me one of these for free, I would not keep it.

Ugly, heavy and overpriced. Epitomizes every thing that's wrong with BMW these days and why I'll never buy another one. MB is eating their lunch. Again.

Saw the first one in the wild yesterday in Richardson TX. Nice looking but if not for the kidneys nothing about it screamed BMW.

One of the better looking look-at-me cars. I can't see owning one for a long time unless your son-in-law is the BWM service manager. And even then..... I like the R8 V10 better for similar money. I think the R8 V10 is faster.

Make sure you like the doors, getting in and out especially in a parking spot.

I sat in one at a local BMW event. You have to clear an 8" sill before you sink down into the seats. Climbing out of it could get old too.

Also forget ever having a lady wearing a skirt ever get in one.

We need Todd to comment on this thread. He was really gung ho about the BMW i3 for a bit and then got rid of it. He would probably be a good source of info on the electric BMWs.

I've seen a guy doing that in a Diablo years ago in a Whole Foods parking lot.
