I can't believe I got away with this...

Washer pretty much crapped out, so I took wife to Lowe's to get an idea what she liked for a new one. She...as if drawn by a magnet...finds a brand new top loader with a fairly significant dent in the front lower sheet metal. To me it looks like somebody clubbed it with a pallet (on the tow motor) while still in the box. The original price was $549, the had a sticker for $459 on it. My wife asks the guy how much he will discount it to be rid of it. He say $100. She says only a $100 ? He says no...you can have it for $100 total ! its been tested and works fine...if you have any problem just bring it back for a full refund.

We bought it...and it kicks arse !

oh yeah, with military discount it was $90. I should have bought a lottery ticket too !!

Dang that did take a good hit, they probably felt lucky that anyone would buy it. Great deal for you as the machine looking pretty has nothing to do with getting your clothes clean.

Oh, someone was going to say it...

"That'll buff out."

Hey, its a washing machine...which in my eyes is not a piece of furniture, besides it resides in the basement where nobody sees it but us.

Although...I did have ideas of the dent puller...LOL

I'd leave it, but a kick plate of some sort would cover that.

Contact Samsung and see if you can buy a new panel for it.
I bought a 48" pro stove with a damaged kick panel $7,400 retail $4,700 for the stove and $54 for the new kick panel from Sear.com.

Because it's Friday night and I know how to party, I looked up that part and it is $266 and would require a bunch of work to replace- probably a big factor in the store letting it go at a bargain.

Quick fix

If the panel comes off without too much fuss, I would simply attempt to straighten it with some 2x4s and clamps and call it done!

Clearly it got run into by a Mustang driver.

Or a Boxster driver.

Nice score!
