Classic? I look forward to Fridays if its not raining to spark up that flat six with the help of a hand throttle, head on up the road and just enjoy the hell out of it.....After owning a 1974 911, 1979 911SC, a 1985.5 944 and now the 1973.5T, I must admit, that the "T" appears to get the most attention on the road, at the light, in the parking lot, etc, etc.. great for the ego for a senior citizen!!

The Sepia Brown colour just goes to show ya that Porsche doesn't waste a thing...back in the day Porsche discovered some left over WW2 Tiger tank paint in a shed out in back of the factory so they decided to use it on their cars.

Color me skeptical on this one. 😉
Would think the original paint was single stage with at least a base amount of gloss. Not exactly tank paint. But I am open to more evidence.

The Germans always wanted to make their tanks shine.

Well Tabby, I doubt that your story holds water as Sepia Brown was Dr. Porsche's favorite color and he painted his 928 Sepia, which he adored. Nice try! Back in the days of lemon yellow, electric blue, auberge, lime green and bright orange, the Sepia Brown was more for the conservative driver.
