The 5M Ferrari

Well I have something in common with Lee, I have that 1984 Black Ferrari Poster hanging in the background...mine is signed and numbered by Phil Hill and Luigi Chianti

Nice story about the Ferrari. I actually agree with him about collection size - I'd personally never want to go above 10-12, most likely less than half that, no matter how much money I have. That reaches the point where you're collecting art pieces rather than cars, imo.

Cool video, wish they had detailed more of the collection.

I agree with him on quantity, frankly I think 10 is too many. I have three cars that I would consider toys, and the maintenance, cleaning, and regular exercise is a burden at times. Granted I don't have a mechanic and professional detailer on staff, which would certainly simplify things.

I don't believe people should collect cars. The more you have, the fewer miles you put on each of them and the less that you get to know them and enjoy them. A good friend of mine never had more than one or two but he changed cars fairly frequently and got to sample a huge number of them in his life. I went the other direction, and kept everything I bought, for the most part. When I got up to 26 cars, I started selling them off. Now I have one.

Those guys that have 100 cars or 200 cars... those that have 15 of the same model, so they can have one of every color... they are fools.

My collection is a whopping 2 and my wife wants to cut it 50%. Looks like I'm going to need to find more storage for the additional eight.
