I paid in the $70 neighborhood for my bottle of Blantons.
I don't think my dad drinks whiskey anymore, when he did, when he would come to my house, I would tell him to go pick out a bottle and we will open it. Thanks to my Flaviar membership I had quite a collection going. Still have a decent amount but it is very slowly dwindling. I see him pull a bottle out, if I remember correctly it was a bottle of Mitchers, which I am very fond of. He pours it in a glass straight, I am impressed but do not say anything. Then he proceeds to put a bunch of ice in the glass and pour some coke over that. I died inside... I went out the next week and bought a bottle of Jack and would just leave that out when he came over.

So we are pushing about $60 a bottle with shipping. I appreciate your thoughts but for now I would like to hold off. If I get desperate I will change my mind. Thx for the offer

One of the better whiskeys I've had was on Jim's recommendation, Journeyman Corsets, Whips and Whiskey. Pretty much unobtanium right now.

Here the Blantons is $56 plus 8% sales tax. When you can find it? And they limit you to one bottle. It is gone likety split...

Their Featherbone Whiskey is OK just no where near as smooth as CWW.

Jim-both excellent. Templeton is well regarded, and Dad's hat is an excellent Pa Rye. Thanks again...
