How many of you involve your wife(significant other, etc) in your PPOT fetish?

I spend way too much time lurking around here. First it was the 911 technical forum.
Then, when my 911 started running completely dependably (knock on wood), I got bored and watched PML over in the marketplace forum. Then, when he p$$$'d off, I came over to the PPOT forum.

My wife usually rolls her eyes when I squander so much time here, but increasingly I find myself wanting to share stories from here (or better yet get her on it).
For example, we've spent plenty of time discussing Jeremy Clarkson.
When I start laughing at the "random pics" thread, I always invite her over to see it.
Today, she saw the thread with "SLUT" in the title, and what a laugh! She thought she had caught me doing something naughty, when infact, this was precisely the yahoo type article that she reads on her own time.
Then there's the "are you living beyond your means article." -I'm a little scared to mention it now, but perhaps it would be a good discussion.

So anyway, how many of you share your PPOT addiction with your significant other, or conversely, hide from them squandering time here?

After 15 years my wife is now like...."Ask the guys on Pelican, they know everything"

We've gotten successful advice on everything from the best brand of toilets, to how to seal concrete, to dealing with our kid challenges.

You can't argue w/ results and you guys have made her a believer!

Mind you I can't think of anyplace with such a wealth and far reaching base of knowledge and experience... and if anyone asks me to confirm that statement I will denigh it in any court of law!

Yeah, I share some stuff with my wife(and kids if appropriate). The folks on this forum are such a wide spectrum of mankind and have become a second family of sorts for us. Sad I suppose but it is what it is.

Same here! You guys are like my focus group, I always know I can bounce questions off of this forum and get some quality answers. She values it as much as I do.

She also used to worry about me meeting up with Pelicans when I travel. Now it's totally expected. I actually think she likes the fact that I can find local people in pretty much every major metro area.

I routinely blame you guys for things I have purchased, or other assorted stupid things I do. "Honey, the Pelicans said this would be a good idea" is something she's heard a thousand times over the years. The Pelicans were in my life before she was, so there's really not much she can say about it, since we were a package deal

I share with her the random pics thread, hot chick threads, and interesting/fun topics, and she's been to a couple of events. She's met Joe Bob, Tweezers, and a couple other gents. Having been here over 10 years It's just part of life now.
