I don't have that problem. The board loads really fast for me, and I have java for google-analytics and googlesyndication allowed in NoScript.

From my Pi (via a pelican giveaway no less) which acts as dhcp/dns/vpn/ssh/etc server for home -

and yes, I've created a fake TLD and FQDN for my home use - id10t.home - so my machine is darkstar.id10t.home, the tv is livingroomtv.id10t.home, etc - no hosts file needed. This blocks shiat for all devices on my home network

Code:
pi@pi:~ $ grep google /etc/bind/blacklist
zone "google-analytics.com" { type master; notify no; file "/etc/bind/null.zone.file"; };
zone "googleadservices.com" { type master; notify no; file "/etc/bind/null.zone.file"; };
zone "googlesyndication.com" { type master; notify no; file "/etc/bind/null.zone.file"; };
zone "pagead.l.google.com" { type master; notify no; file "/etc/bind/null.zone.file"; };

zone "www-google-analytics.l.google.com" { type master; notify no; file "/etc/bind/null.zone.file"; };

Haha, I meant the code above - I know what a hosts file is and generally what it does but the nuances of computer code are often like so much Greek (actually Greek isn’t that hard...)

I’m surprised it wasn’t “login required” for that sub-forum earlier. WAY too much potential downside for a business to have anyone / everyone seeing some of the tripe that was getting tossed around there.

Carry on.

I'm using a DNS server on my own network to hijack any attempt to connect to any host on those domains (and a ton more) by redirecting them to a server that responds with a blank file.

Gotcha - thx. Makes sense. I may need to look into this more - currently I use Little Snitch to book ANY google domain attempting to connect on any port which seems pretty effective but if it’s possible to protect myself further by implementing something like this it’d be worth researching.

I effing hate big data and google in particular. Anything I can do to thwart their attempts to build a profile on me is probably worth doing.

The OP was about how I thought the PARF forum had been deleted.

My problem is while it load "really fast", when I back track, it takes about 30 seconds to catch up, i.e. for me to scroll up or down.

Started about 2 weeks ago.
