I like AAA. All my cars are insured with them with the exception of the old 911s. Cayman S is 1000 bucks per year. I was w All state for 15 years and never questioned them even with rate hikes simply I am too lazy to call around and just wrote the check. Wife got laid off, started to turn things upside down and cleaned house, started getting quotes for our cars. AAA was 1800 bucks cheaper but they would not cover the house because we are in fire zone. WE have been with them for 15 years now. No issues. Two claims. Lady his us head on and went under the Land Cruiser and they paid us faor market value on it. Another lady took out my side mirror on my diesel truck. They paid to get it fixed within a week. 600 bucks for a factory GM mirror.

I've been with AAA for over 30 years. Home and six vehicles. What I appreciate is, we are in a bad fire area with neighbors being cancelled by other insurance companies. My homeowners has actually declined.

Good luck with that on the home owner's insurance. After this fire season, you might get a notice they are no longer insuring in you your area. Like I said, that's the response I got from them with my inquiry.

I've been been w AAA for a while now, maybe 10 years? Before that was GEICO and I think AAA offered me a quote and beat them significantly, so I switched. I've always had multiple vehicles including a MC and a 4x4 truck, haven't bothered shopping them because the rate seems reasonable and they are easy to deal with.

I also know that they will kick down when the time comes, my biggest concern is the horror stories I've read online about certain other cut-rate insurers when it is claim time. There are certain names you just trust w insurance; USAA, AAA, Farmers, etc.

I've never had a claim and have a clean driving record @ 58 y.o. No at fault accidents, ever. I did get a moving violation a few years ago and it raised my rates by $300 a year for 3 years, until the ticket disappeared from my record. That means that disobeying a traffic sign cost me $500 for the ticket and $900 in raised rates. That was an expensive haircut. I try not to break the law anymore.

I’m going to see them this morning with vin numbers etc to complete the quote , but it’s looking less than half of what I’m paying at the moment ..

I’ve been changing every 6months , but I think that was More down to the brokers commission on “new” policies rather than her getting the best deal for me .

Well that was interesting ...

I took along details of the cars I want to insure , and know what I’m paying on my current policy .

current policy was :
2009 c4s Pdk - full cover .
2003 2.7 tip boxster - basic .
1993 c2 cab - basic .
2007 rr supercharged - basic .

I removed a car a (Range Rover - wrecked) , and added one (1956 bug ) .
I also changed every car to full coverage , and it came out less

I need to go back tomorrow with more papers from my existing policy and to discuss how to add a 73 “rsr” project to the policy , but I think I’m going aaa

I'm a AAA member and went through them for insurance. It is worth considering. Keep in mind AAA is basically a broker. Most insurance policies they sell are through American Commerce, one of the largest insurers in the nation. They broker many lines of insurance: auto, home, motorcycles, boat, renters, etc. Sometimes they can offer lines from other insurers as well.
