Going to SEMA this year first time any tips on what to do/see?

I'll be there 1 1/2 days and have wanted to attend this show for years but Ive heard its overwhelming in scope and size. Any must see's/do's?? Thanks

Comfortable shoes!

I used to go to SEMA every year when I was in the business. It IS overwhelming and IS almost impossible to see everything.

They still hold it in Vegas? Last time I went I walked the floor of the show, drove the journalist's invite Vegas Speedway driving experience, and then played blackjack for two days.

yeah its in Vegas still. I know what to do there but honestly my focus will be walking the expo all day then some modest gambling and sightseeing at night.

Go "see" the show. Screw the rest of Vegas..it will always be there. For a gear head it was nirvana for me.

Oh and what ckelly said...much better than polished rides with 600 hp.

Take good shoes. My feet and body were aching after the first day. Lost the nail off my baby toe a few weeks later. The chicks were hot and is a must see. Talk to them and some will even hang with you after.

I've been there every year for the past 14 years. Unfortunately, as an exhibitor, I've never really seen the show!
Central and South Halls are where most of the interesting stuff is. So, as a newbie to the show, you should try to get to those halls first......they're huge! I'll be in Booth 20655, DYNOmite Dynamometer, in Central Hall.

Covering it all in a day and a half, would be hard for me. Too many friends in the vendors booths, and too many late nights.

It's a 7 day stay for me.

We spent 4 days, eight hours plus a day - and didn't see the whole thing... Pick what you want to see and hit that. Use the app.

Bring a rolling duffle bag or backpack so you can put stuff into it (giveaways, brochures, samples, etc).

Forget parking your car there. Get a cab or Uber around. Wear the most comfortable shoes you own.
