Kerouac died 1969
I really liked his writing and his style, he was very interesting. he died October 21 1969 and was only 47.

A good read. My favorite story is as follows: A college roommate was getting a head full of Jack K and decided to climb Multnomah Falls cliff. He had to be helicoptered off. He had "On the Road" in his backpack.

I believe Kerouac lived at home with his mother, and Hefner ripped on him for that.
Opposite ends of the spectrum.
