Vintage is the only mustang I want.

HardDrive 11-03-2017 06:12 AM

Beautiful machine Michael! Color me jealous.

That is one massive brake rotor, Marsh!

How do you respond to, "Mustang can only go in a straight line!"

Far as I'm concerned, still the best looking Mustang body. After '66, they were like much of the USA, getting fatter.

15.5 inch disc in the front, really great feel to them.

The only person that would ever say they can only go in a straight line is someone who has never driven a new GT350...I am truly amazed at how flat it goes thru corners.

I like the fast backs too.

My 66 is a coupe, my 92 is a hatchback.

Yeah, I have two Mustangs.

I’ve come close to getting a Cobra R from that generation a few times.

Hope you take it on one of those Gruppe canyon runs...;)

I was lucky enough to pick up a vintage Shelby many years ago, fun car to drive. The young kids with the newer Mustangs give the car a bad rap, they just seem to do stupid stuff and it gets caught on camera every time.

I had a 2000 Cobra R, that was a fun crude car......loved it. No sound deadening, no back seat, no radio and no AC, but boy did it pull hard when given the gas.

Michael, I am jealous as hell! LOVE the new GT350.

Interesting how many here have or had both Porsches and Mustangs. I'm a CAR guy. I've had or still have a few Porsches, Vettes, a couple different Mustangs, Several Volvos and A few muscle cars.... Nice to see there are a lot of other CAR guys here as well ;)

sugarwood 11-09-2017 01:31 PM

Nothing against any sports car - just some of them aren't my particular cup of tea. I even get that way about some Porsche models ...

Most "mustang hate" - followed closely by "Honda Civic w/ fart can hate" - is driven by the person who is driving it and their attitude/personality...

What's that joke about the porcupine and the Porsche ?
