Yeah, I saw that and was very tempted. The Alfa rods appearing lately are very cool but not in my price range for a toy.

It's like a porn site for car guys.

I ended up with a 1981 320i because I thought I would be cute and put a cheeky bid in on it with a 320 at the end. Bidding stopped and I won.

I have since been doing that with 2002's but the bid is very low, hoping to win one of those.

FWIW the 320 is bone stock and I am having a blast driving it around. Got the AC working on it pretty good (still R12) so it is now our "Drive to the green market on Sunday" car.

I have a some plans for it, going to put some lowering springs in and get rid of the 4x4 look and throw a cat back on. Then just enjoy it for a while and hope they appreciate some day.
