I move that we make it state law, that before you complain about your service at the tire store, you are required to mount 50-80 tires in an 8 hour shift, @ 10 bucks an hour. just once .
That being said, still no excuse for shoddy work

if he was using a torque wrench at all, he is an all star in my book. 80% of them coming off with your wrench set at 140 sounds about right if his was set in the neighborhood of the same value. If you were near clicking on the first 80% and the remaining 20% didnt require lou ferigno to get off I would say you are winning.
A few extra psi is what you are left with for a complaint

Give them feedback by all means.
If they choose to remain stupid it will not be your fault. The occams razor result is that if the shop personelle ever learned to communicate this would never be a problem... Really. Stupid simple baseline stuff. Next to pounding rocks into smaller rocks. You can't get much simpler. "HEY FOLKS. HERE IS HOW YOU REMOVE A TIRE WITHOUT SNAPPING OFF EVERY STUD!" |

OK - I finally got down the tire store and got a closed door conversation with the owner. He took the feedback very well and was happy that I brought these items to his attention. I also reviewed the things that I thought went correctly. I can now take this off my to-do list. Too much mental energy invested. Not trying to fix tires stores was probably the best advice here.
