Spot on Greg.

Charlie Sheen was wrong. You don't pay them to leave, you pay them to be quiet.

What the good Senator did was a crime, fellas. Also, he was in a position of power and abused that privilege..."practice the kiss".

UFB.

BTW, who wants to bet me $10 bucks this won't be the last chapter in Franken's "inappropriate behavior".

Know your audience people ! My co-workers and I have been inappropriate to each other for many years now, but it's all in good fun, and we keep our mouths shut around other people.....no touching though !

Paul - I'm not siding with Franken - I'm not a fan - but that incident occurred when he was a comedian - not a "politician."

But it did happen while Franken was Franken.

Until our society and culture figures out how to deal with the obvious hypocrisy involved in these instances of abuse/harassment/crudeness, or however each particular instance is defined, they will always be With us.

You can't pick up magazine, watch a movie or TV show, go to a concert or just about anywhere else and not be accosted by sexualization. It's everywhere and it's all the time. Sex sells, sex buys, sex promotes and sex controls.

What Franken was exposed to having done falls on the mild side of the spectrum of human behavior in our culture, IMO.

And I would propose that there's not one among us who haven't done something similar at some point in our lives. This is not to condone such boorishness. But until we somehow acknowledge the schizophrenic attitude about our sexualized culture and how we are bombarded with ambiguous messaging about sex and power every one of us is vulnerable to misinterpretations, lapses of judgement and the crossing of lines.

And it goes both ways. Men will pursue sex and women will manipulate that dynamic. So long as we each have our individual identities, moralities and social awarenesses somebody on all sides will be guilty of some kind of transgression.

Describing men as predators is as disengenuous as describing females as victims. Stir in a healthy dose of our current struggles with sexual 'self-identification', trans-sexualization and the confusion of law versus morality you will end up with rapist Presidents, prostitute Madonnas and everything in between.

Silvio "Bunga Bunga" is a lech but somehow the Italians don't seem to mind.

Do you remember the porn star Ilona Staller? Stage name Cicciolina.
She was elected to the Italian parliament in 1987! :D

I get all that and my comments were not directed at anyone here. The same excuse can be made for Trump: Trump was a douche when he aired the "grab some pussy" comment, not POTUS.

The breast grabbing is a simple physical manifestation of Franken's desire to dominate an attractive lesser light on a USO tour, as was the "practice kissing" shtick.

That is why there are laws in the military and government that protect those who are not in a position to defend themselves from bullies.

That is what I hate: He is a bully and a pussy.

Does that make him a Pulley?

This behavior just demonstrates beyond a shadow of doubt that Al Franken and all his other abusers friends are completely devoid of character.

I like to think of character as how one behaves when no one else is looking.Simple as that.

I'm with Seahawk! Punch their freakin lights out!

Graphic: Navy admits to being involved in obscene skydrawings spotted in Okanogan Co.

WARNING: Some viewers may find the photos in this story offensive

OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. – Officials with the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island said one of their aircraft was involved in the obscene skywritings spotted in Okanogan County.

Photos sent to KREM 2 by multiple sources show skydrawings of what some people are saying is male genitalia. Some sources have even tweeted pictures of what they saw.

A mother who lives in Okanogan who took pictures of the drawings reached out to KREM 2 to complain about the images, saying she was upset she might have to explain to her young children what the drawings were.

In a statement to KREM 2 News navy officials said, "The Navy holds its aircrew to the highest standards and we find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable."

KREM 2 spoke to the Federal Aviation Administration to get some information about who may have made the drawings. FAA officials said unless the act poses a safety risk, there is nothing they can do about. The official said they "cannot police morality."

I remember this situation. I could understand if you got punched out a bit for being coarse or insensitive but it does not sound like a bridge to try to get into her pants.

Agree with Seahawk^^, I think. Being outed is one thing, being ousted is another. If facts support the outing, I'm all for it. If the outing leads to ouster, I'm all for it.

In this linked case, however, this doesn't appear to be an abuse case but rather one of an elected official being caught having sex in his office. It also happens to be sex with a man, but that really is irrelevant. If the lawmaker was single and the sex was with a woman, he still should resign as his conduct was unethical and inappropriate. But it's not sexual abuse, at least it hasn't been reported as such. The fact that his political stand was staunchly behind straight marriage and family values only adds hypocrisy to the situation, but adds nothing to the only real reason for his resignation.

He should have resigned, and he did resign.

Don't get your meat where you get your bread. This saying was around long before the recent hub bub.

Side note. What would Darwin say about all this? There is a male predisposition to getting their genes into the gene pool.

Don't ever find yourself at work alone with ANYONE without at least 1 other person you trust to tell the truth.

PARF spills over to PPOT.
A natural consequence of the aniti-white-male media hate machine.

Everyone now needs to have a verified 24/7 constant live-streaming public video system operation in effect(with redundant backup sources) in order to prove they did not molest another person at a particular time.

What a world has now been created for us all....The blatant obtuse has become secondary to the theoretical.

The "Pence Policy" is looking smarter and smarter every day, eh?
