A well set up 944?

Article doesn't say what kind of car...

NEW YORK (AP) — Fox News Channel host Jeanine Pirro (juh-NEEN' PEER'-oh) has been issued a speeding ticket for driving 119 mph (192 kph) in a 65 mph (105 kph) zone in upstate New York.

The Daily News reports the former Westchester County district attorney was stopped by a trooper on Sunday afternoon in Tioga County. A state police spokesman says he doesn't know what type of car Pirro was driving or whether she had any passengers.

Pirro says in a statement through Fox News Channel she had been driving for hours to visit her ailing mother and didn't realize how fast she was going. She says she will "pay the consequences."

The ticket is returnable Jan. 8.

I saw that this morning and wondered what legal stratagem could possibly help the host of a national legal affairs program who go caught going almost 50 over. I suspect it involves being very contrite, making friends with the officer or prosecutor and asking forgiveness.

I used to know a guy who claimed he more or less accidently got his Audi 6 Series up to a speedometer indicated 150 mph on a cross country trip in Montana. He said the car was so smooth that he was well over 100 when he noticed he had been drifting faster, and he was close enough to 150 to see if he could make it. His wife woke up in the passenger seat just as he hit 150 and the car was still so smooth that she didn't notice anything and just commented that it seemed like they were going faster than usual.

Even considering Pirro was distracted thinking about her mother's health and she naturally sped up as her anxiety rose, I'd think she would still have noticed that she was speeding at least by 100 mph. Maybe she was in a Panamera and they really are that big ans smooth.

Yes, very much so.

A police source said she was driving a 2017 Cadillac. That's 11 points if she doesn't make a deal. loss of licence.

Her very first car? a Triumph TR6. British Racing Green.

In Oregon, getting caught over 100 on any public highway results in a minimum $2,000 fine. loss of license, and at the officer's discretion, a set of bracelets with a trip to jail. Oh, and at a judge's discretion, confiscation of the car.

Just another little reason why driving isn't fun anymore. Oregon used to be a"basic rule" state, and there was a time Nevada had no highway speed limit, only town limits.

I hope she makes a deal...a new Caddy is probably more able to handle century plus speeds than even a Ferrari during the Nevada no limit days.

How much trouble do you get in if you try to pump your own gas?

That too...but you can get away with this heinous act if you're known at the station and the pump jockey lets you.

Ahhh, life in the peoples republic of Oregon...

I'll play along.

When have I ever posted a sexy pic of my wife? Its possible I did 10 years ago.... not sure.

I don't believe I've posted a slide show of travel photos for the past several years.

Am I missing something?

You, on the other hand, choose to incessantly poke the hornet's nest with your child-like, underhanded references to Porsche owners and their cars, here, on a Porsche forum

at 120, hell, these days it could have been a Toyota Camry or something equally pedstrian, but my guess is that it was a BMW, Mercedes, VW or something like that.

(We all really know it was a Bullit Mustang)

it's amazing the smooth torque they can get out of a turbo 2 liter.

edit: do you have the 2 liter 4 cylinder, or the twin turbo v6?

the v6 is putting out well over 400 hp IIRC ......

Why? Any new Hyundai from the rental counter at the airport will do 120. You might want to look at a calendar some time, it's 2017 and all cars are smooth and go fast. Also, whatever this "well set-up 944" gag is, it was stale the first time you used it in 1997.

Lastly, since I'm on a roll here, I don't think that you want to set up a direct comparison between your output here and Motion's. He's packed more entertainment value into one weird story 15 years ago than you've managed in all your time on the board. Although, you were a little better before you had that hissy fit and traded your early 911S for a Ford because some big mean guys wanted to buy it.

How many 66 year old women do you know who still look that good?
And she is intelligent, educated, successful, classy, and powerful.

Not everyone's cup of tea as that scares some men off, but I can certainly appreciate her beauty.
