Lower back muscle spasms

I know I've seen a number of threads on here about folks that suffer from lower back muscle spasms, so I though I'd share some purely anecdotal info.

Every so often my back locks up for no reason...been doing core exercises for over a couple of years, stretching, physical therapy, blah, blah, blah...Physical therapist suggested trying "dry needle" treatment. Instead of deep massages, tiny needles are inserted into the muscle spasms to help heal them (acupuncture by another name, I guess)

Back locked up over turkeyday and I just had it done...it worked!

So, a sample of n=1 and zero science, but thought some might find it interesting
