Many years since I ever scared a barbell or some sort of weight machine, yet was still able to perform with Cirque in O. Once.

My wife's best friend's daughter is in Cirque de Soleil, and I went to her wedding recently. All her bride's maids were in the show with her, all about 5 foot nothing and wearing a back-less dress. They were ripped. I whispered to me wife as they walked down the aisle, "Any of those girls could kick me ass."

Thanks for posting!

All of these videos are worthwhile but the first one, (back/core workout), is invaluable. I had disc surgery 15 years ago, when I was 42, and doing back exercises is my only insurance against another injury and/or a life in pain or worse.

Hardly anyone really works their core hard and regularly, it requires very specific exercises. But the guy is right about the value of it in avoiding back problems and it's a physiological fact that you cannot have a strong gut and weak extremities. The inverse is absolutely possible and seen all the time.

If you have an extremely strong gut and lower back, you will stand and sit straight and be slim, no matter what your age. I'm talking men or women and 80 years old. But almost no one does the required exercises.

^^^This is gold!

I was not born rich or good looking but I have a freakishly strong back. I took it for granted most of my youth but then started noticing people with back problems and the excruciating pain they we going through, I realized how I was blessed.
However, now that I am 60 and leading a more sedentary lifestyle I need to look into doing some core exercises.

RE: The first video is interview up to 4:30.

RE: RE: Saw Cirque de Soleil when it first came out... it is good but wouldn't pay the +$100 to see it now.

Cirque du Soleil probably certainly offers something when seen in person, but I suspect it's much better on TV when you can have multiple camera angles from close and far vs if you're in person and stuck watching from one angle, distance and location.

I preach "core" all the time. Have had 2 back surgeries, 10 years since the second, still have some flab, but can plank 4-5 minutes.

Gymnastics and Dancing are some fit occupations. Cirque du Soleil is BOTH.
