following the stock market
For all you active investors. What is the best site to follow the market live? Is there a website you can enter all your symbols and see them on a spread sheet of sorts to watch their movement?

Can't help you. I don't follow it everyday. I will just go crazy with the daily movements. I'm in the Warren Buffett camp - if I only had 1 day a year to buy or sell, what would I buy, what would I sell?
I hear Google Finance and Yahoo Finance are pretty good, though there's a 15 minute delay. But then again, if you require up-to-the-minute movements, you may need to pay for a service. Even the discount brokers have a delay. |

Yahoo Finance charts any stock and gives news and chats.
Days like today are great!

Try marketwatch.com
I used it for a while - you can set up a portfolio on it. Edit - I do believe there is a delay of 10 or 15 minutes. Not sure anything in public domain (free) allows real-time data.

I only follow one company at a time. That way I know (sort of know - but often wrong) how news items, employment stat's releases etc will affect the price. I'm more of an investor than a trader but I watch it on a daily/hourly basis.

Thanks for the input guys. My investment portfolio is handled by Wells Fargo. I opened a small investment account with Fidelity. I can follow right from my account but it's not very user friendly. I have been on market watch and used NASDAQ. Neither are much better than Fidelity.
