Lamborghini Urus... SUV!

The Lamborghini Urus. What do you think?

I must admit I love it. It's absolutely gorgeous!

I'm not a huge fan of the exterior styling and the name is beyond weird. I'm familiar with Lamborghini's traditions with regards to coming up with names for their products but that one should've been passed over.

Not surprising.

For me the exterior styling is the kind that takes a little getting used to.

The current Jeep Cherokee was that way for me, the Porsche Macan and Range Rover Evoque were not, I liked them both right away.

The Lamborghini Urus is the latest $200,000 SUV

This 650-horsepower Lambo claims 190 mph, but also Level 2 self-driving assists and a back seat
Over powered, and overpriced?

Quote:
Power will come from a 4.0-liter V8 with two turbochargers, promising 650 horsepower, 0–62 mph in as little as 3.6 seconds, and a top speed of 190 mph.........................

Expect it to go much higher with expensive options, but Mercedes AMG G65s start at even higher prices, so someone might consider the Lambo a bargain

LOL, 0:45 something into the movie someone looks around the vehicle with AR-googles.
VW had such a demo on a big youth-experience demo here in Hannover. I asked what they are using this for. "Nothing" the responsible person told me. "This is just created for these exhibitions. This is nothing we could/would want to work with."

Now get of my lawn!

I think it looks good, but perhaps not outrageous enough for the Lambo badge?

Lots of details in this article - press release.

The new Lamborghini Urus: The world’s first Super Sport Utility Vehicle
Lamborghini Media Center : The new Lamborghini Urus: The world’s first Super Sport Utility Vehicle
Quote:
Aerodynamic optimization

Every surface of the Urus clearly contributes to the car's aerodynamic prowess and its Lamborghini super sports car personality. Form and function work hand in hand within the Lamborghini design: each panel contributes to the car's overall drag coefficient.

The front splitter and very large air intakes ensure optimal air flow in conjunction with the extensive covered areas of the aerodynamically efficient underbody. Aerodynamic blades feature on the outer edges of the rear window, and the floating rear wing, integrated rear spoiler and spoiler lip reduce aerodynamic resistance. An advanced wheelhouse aerodynamic solution with Naca cooling improves and augments front brake cooling to enhance driving dynamics.

Efficient aerodynamics also contribute to the Urus' internal acoustics, improving ride comfort, reducing fuel consumption and emissions while a high downforce increases stability, safety and driving dynamics.

I'm going to have to look at it in person before I pass judgement. The pictures make it look ugly.

I do like the Stelvio and F-Pace...

I was just going to say the same thing. Can't wait to see some of the local moms driving them to Starbucks and yoga.

Everybody wants a piece of the SUV pie. Personally I don't get it, you can get a sports sedan that is better at all things. But whatever, I'm sure they'll sell a bunch of them.

I have a feeling of deja vu.

This closer resembles it. I might actually like this better.
