Did McCartney die in 1966 or was it planned?

Recently Ringo has said that they covered up his death. In the past Paul admitted it was an elaborate hoax done by the band. There ain't no way all the clues were coincidence.

Let It Be:
"Let It Be" The phrase "Let It Be," played backward, becomes "He is dead."

Abbey Road:
-28IF
-The walk across by the Minister, mortician, dead man (Paul: eyes closed, barefoot, cigarette in wrong hand, and out of step with the other 3) and grave digger
-dots make a 3 next to word Beatles

White Album:
-"Glass Onion" "Here's another clue for you all, the Walrus was Paul." The Walrus is considered a symbol of death by some people.
-"I'm So Tired" The gibberish at the end, when played backward, becomes "Paul is dead, man, miss him, miss him."
-"Don't Pass Me By" Ringo sings "You were in a car crash / And you lost your hair."
-Song played just before Revolution #9 but lyrics not on liner notes:
Can you take me back where I came from?
Can you take me back?
Can you take me back where I came from?
Brother can you take me back?
-"Revolution #9" The repeated phrase "Number nine," when played backward, becomes "turn me on, dead man." There's also a lot of recorded conversation in this music-free track, much of which has been taken by listeners as clues to Paul's crash and death: "his voice was low and his eyes were high and his eyes were closed" and "his legs were drawn, his hands were tied, his feet were bent and his head was on fire and his glasses were insane. This was the end of his audience," and "My wings are broken and so is my hair. I'm not in the mood for wearing clothing." You can also hear the crash, a fire, sirens, and screaming "Get me out."

Magical Mystery Tour:
-"I buried Paul" in Strawberry Fields Forever
-"I am the Walrus" The chanting at the end, when played backward, reveals the chanted phrase "Paul is dead! Ha ha!" (Paul dresses as a walrus in Sgt Peppers).

Sgt Peppers:
-A funeral and a new band being introduced with Billy Shears (the Paul replacement)
-left handed bass in hyacinths
-hand over Paul's head - blessing after death
-Paul the only one facing forward instead of angled
-“LONELY HEARTS” written across the center of the bass drum, mirror image you see “IONEIX HE<>DIE”. When arranged as “I ONE IX HE <> DIE,” this image suggests the date (11-9, or November 9, 1966)
-Paul has patch OPD - officially pronounced dead
-Paul facing backward back on photo with lyrics and the words "Without you" right after his head
-“A Day in the Life” John sings ominously of a car crash. “He blew his mind out in a car/He hadn’t noticed that the lights had changed/A crowd of people stood and stared/They’d seen his face before/Nobody was really sure if he was from the House of Lords”.
-"Good Morning, Good Morning" - The phrases "nothing to do to save his life," "and you're on your own you're in the street," "people running around it's 5 o'clock," and "watching the skirts you start to flirt, now you're in gear" are all details of the crash. the time of the crash matches that in "She's Leaving Home."

No.

But not isn't Paul with Wings like Angel after?

Illustrates the staying power of the Beatles that we would be discussing this 56 years later. If it was a fraud, sure was a well planned one.

good thing the stand in is so talented and can hold his own with a bass guitar

I remember being transfixed by this as a kid. Brings back fond memories. And yes, amazing we are talking about it now.

There is a lot of "clues" but that fact the Paul is still preforming his replacement must have been better than the original.

It would be interesting to hear Paul talk about it now. It had to be just one more gimmick to keep the band talked about.

I tend to agree that it was a very well planned hoax but I remember when the expose first came out it was very compelling. The theory was that there was so much money involved that the label and band could afford to find a doppelganger who could play well, write music, and then do surgery to complete the look. There are far better bass players than Paul but my question is how many people can write music that endures 50+ years and is played in multiple genres?

Of course, we need to remember that conspiracy theorists say we didn't land on the moon, Obama wasn't a US citizen and that Trump colluded with the Russians.

I've watched many Beatles interviews on YouTube, even listened to R#9 backwards on my LP, listened to all the clues. When did Ringo say they covered up his death? I would imagine if true that would be huge news. The Beatles are huge, when they broke up it was headlines all over the world. A statement like that by Ringo would still be headlines today.

My instincts tell me there were a few coincidences that were woven into a story by a radio personality, an Alex Jones of Music, if you will, and it got play around the world.

The only thing Paul ever did was yesterday...

Former Beatle Ringo Starr Claims the “Real” Paul McCartney Died in 1966 and Was Replaced by Look-Alike
Paul McCartney Refutes Ringo Starr’s Allegations that He Died in 1966

Either fake news or they got together to keep the joke going.

ed's beatles tv show second appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show was from Miami on February 16, 1964. The performance was done live from their hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. Prior to the performance, The Beatles played to a live audience during the afternoon at the hotel. Then at 8:00 p.m., they played The Ed Sullivan Show live, via satellite.

somebody started a rumor I had tickets to this gig
I was 13 in junior high in miami [coral gables]
suddenly every girl in the school wanted to go to the show
truth was I had no tickets or even knew there was to be a show
so as a stupid 13er I said I have no idea there is to be a show no tickets or anything
look back I bet I could of played that a bit better
likely a lot better as the girls were total nuts about the beatles then

And this was all carried out pre-interwebs.

I suspect that Ringo link is fake news click bait. It worked. Were it real, I promise it would be HUGE!

Ran across these guys a few weeks ago. If you're a real Beatles fan you can appreciate this I promise !

When I look at the volume and complexity of the whole thing I am blown away with how well it was done 50 years ago! Layers and layers of little things. Talk about creative. Or, there is that nagging question as to why the flag on the moon is moving even though there is no wind...

the beatles have so many innovations to their credit, I think they invented trolling before the internet.
