Sioux Valve grinder 680, Doing 50 deg cuts
Well, it is a Sioux 680 but the question is this-
I am looking for a GREAT idea how to mark the chuck for a 50 and 55 deg cut. I have thought of a few,, I am sure i am not the only gearhead that has tangled with this little problem. If you have done this or can postulate a way, shoot it at me. Thanx! |

My Sioux has scribe marks for 30/45/46 on the chuck base plate. Could measure distance between 30 and 45 and compute where 50 is.

Hi John!
long time no see! Are you not up EARLY! HS, it must be 430AM there? Yes mine too only measures the common grinds I was thinking of perhaps putting the vernier caliper to it as a last resort. Also perhaps a quality digital lazer protracter...? I am open to suggestions |
