Yeti, I get it now
Got a Yeti travel mug as a gift.
Made myself a cocktail last night. Put the Yeti down around midnight, uncovered. Had a few ice cubes left in it. Tidying up this morning, picked it up around 9, still had ice in it. https://www.atkenco.com/prodimages/46860-BLACK-l.jpg |
Very disappointing... I was hoping for a Christmas/bigfoot thread.

Not bad for a $59.99 travel mug :--)
No idea what they cost, but everything in their line is expen$ive |

EDIT: $35 on Amazon but still, I'd never drop that kinda coin on a mug myself. |
Uh yeah....
I saw they are on sale at Cabella's for boxing week. Couldn't stop laughing. $250 for a soft sided cooler, $40 for a travel mug. A fool and their money are soon parted. |
Have had a Yeti mug for about a year. Yes, keeps ice overnight.
Scott gets to open his gifts on the eve of the 22nd?????? Not fair... |
I was a little disappointed in my mug. I put hot water in to warm it prior to filling with coffee and it didn't seem to do much better keeping coffee warm than my normal mug.
|
you can get double walled aluminum mugs cheaper than yeti...Google.
|
RTIC has been making equivalents for cheap for a while (and of course Yeti sued them).

Yep that yeti stuff is crazy expensive!
I've been using a double walled SS mug that has amazing insulation plus the most comfortable mouthpiece I've ever found. Granted it' doesn't have a cap to close the spout but I love the thing. $10 at Walmart. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1514063438.jpg |

Search Youtube for the tests where the $10 Ozark Trail mug from WalMart beats the $60 Yeti in head to head testing. They look identical, probably made in the same factory.
