Indeed. Lots of drug testing still going on, and that makes some sense to me frankly. Amusingly, as the Drug Testing Coordinator on a major construction site for six years, one of the things I learned is that if you have a valid prescription, then you are golden. The Medical Review Officer will release a "Negative" test result. Even if the prescription is for Oxycontin and the worker is a crane operator. At an international airport.

I've also noticed, to my surprise, several work associates who, as it turns out, visit the cannabis stores. Very competent people. A couple of them very highly competent by any standard. Just goes to show you.....while fint can distinguish good workers from poor ones by their urine, the rest of us cannot.

From previous posts, I suspect your standards are much lower than mine. Using illegal drugs or breaking Federal law in any way is usually a obvious sign that an employee will not keep a security clearance long enough to pay for their training.

Is it possible for you Fint to admit you do not know everything on this subject? My point was, concurrent to potency increase there is a corresponding odour increase. A ziploc will not contain the smell, I can assure you of that.
You don’t find ads for weed on cl, but you find ads mentioning green, or 420 or other words that clue in those in the know. Trust me, it’s easy to find anywhere. Because no reasonable police force is concerned about a cl advertiser flipping eighths

I make no claims to know how to buy illegal drugs...and am rather glad that is not part of my experience. But, I have seen and handled marijuana and there was no smell from a sealed bag.

I make my posts based on the most recent and comprehensive scientific studies. Most anecdotal evidence I see posted by users seems rather biased. Although I have always been inclined to lean toward legalization due to libertarian concerns, my observations over the years regarding users do seem to match those studies. Absent the obvious health concerns, the question for me has always been ...the chicken or the egg. Was the MJ what made so many heavy users the way they are or was the way they are what made them heavy users? Apparently, a little of both according to current science on the topic.

So you're expert because you've read something.....lol. I've read most of the Boeing Flight Manual for the 747 (around 900 page or so ) so I'll guess I'll be a pilot next week. You are making yourself out to be a fool. Ever used weed??
After you posted something in another thread, and it read " who'd want to walk around a big city at night anyway" I realised that you live in a bubble. Dunno about you but I love walking around big city's at night. Singapore makes for a nice stroll at night. As does Hong Kong, Sydney, London. I guess I'm not scared of the stoned Boogey man.

I'm guessing you don't realize how pathetic you are at trying to make your point. That's a huge fail there, dude.

I find it odd that anyone would consider stating the findings of the most recent scientific studies on any topic would make anyone less an expert on a topic (that they never claimed to be an expert on). If you read and could cite the 747 Boeing Flight Manual I would deem you more an expert on the Boeing Flight manual than most people...but of course, it is not your expertise you would cite, but rather, that of the authors of the manual.

As far as walking around a big city at night ...my statement (in a thread where it was claimed that one could not do so in the United States without fearing for their life) was, "Why would anyone want to walk around a large city at night anyways? Most have been ruined by decades of liberal Mayors who do not enforce the law." That does not mean that I am afraid to visit them...only that many have been ruined due to poor management...and do not have anything that interests me.

I really don't see travel as some sort of bragging right...but since you asked about big cities in the U.S....I have traveled more than most folks and spent significant time or lived in/near big U.S. cities from Washington D.C....to Denver, Frankfurt, Atlanta, Miami, Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Austin, etc. and still own homes (that I have lived in as a permanent residence in or near eight of those. I have lived for extended periods in CA, NM, ND, GA, FL, NC, SC, VA, DC, TX, CO, NV (some more than once), visited every U.S. state but one, most western European Countries (many times) and a few in Asia. I have hitchhiked across several countries. I have visited your country for over a month at a time...both rural north Queensland and urban areas like Sydney farther south...and have certainly visited almost every major U.S. city of note and worked in many of them from CA (LA, SF, San Diego) to Miami. I have walked the late night streets of LA and NYC as well as DC, Paris, Berlin, Seoul, Madrid, Sydney, Florence, etc. I have lived in the desert for extended periods of time...and on tropical islands. I served in the military for almost 26 years and 13 in the Reserve with another 16 years in defense/homeland security related jobs. I am as well travelled as a flight attendant. Simply walking around a big city at night doesn't scare me much (as you claim)...but I am generally busy doing other things when I am there with an actual motive in mind than simply walking around. Sometimes I just come here to laugh at your silly personal attacks that you seem to think constitute an argument. Boo!

Heh heh. It's not what I "think"... it's an accurate assessment of a really bad analogy.

You're mad and toying with my username in an attempt to get back at me... that shows you care.

What's your position on the vast majority of peer-reviewed studies on climate change/global warming?

Most were based on the same climate data that we later found out was altered. In others, the models were adjusted to provide the desired outcome. Proof (emails) showing that there was collusion to alter the data and the review discredited many of them.

As far as I have seen, the studies I cite have not received similar professional critique.

Likely due to reporting this morning that:

"Attorney General Jeff Sessions has rescinded several Obama-era directives that discouraged enforcement of federal marijuana laws in states that had legalized the substance.

In a memo sent to U.S. attorneys Thursday, Sessions noted that federal law prohibits the possession and sale of marijuana, and he undid four previous Obama administration memos that advised against bringing weed prosecutions in states where it was legal to use for recreational or medical purposes. Sessions said prosecutors should use their own discretion — taking into consideration the department’s limited resources, the seriousness of the crime, and the deterrent effect that they could impose — in weighing whether charges were appropriate.

“It is the mission of the Department of Justice to enforce the laws of the United States, and the previous issuance of guidance undermines the rule of law and the ability of our local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement partners to carry out this mission,” Sessions said in a statement. “Therefore, today’s memo on federal marijuana enforcement simply directs all U.S. Attorneys to use previously established prosecutorial principles that provide them all the necessary tools to disrupt criminal organizations, tackle the growing drug crisis, and thwart violent crime across our country.”"
