I never have been able to get into fake patina.

Are those airline seats?

Yep, seeing that now. Faux Throttles, gauges, half a steering wheel.

I think its pretty funny that the '700hp farm truck' is now a known automotive genre.

A lot of craftsmanship & thought went into that interior. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but it is executed very well, even taking the original steering wheel, sawing it in half, removing the horn button, replacing with multiple center buttons. Also the sheet metal work is very nice.

My Uncle has a 58 Cameo pickup truck that is currently in rustoleum primer. He dresses it up with a set of cartoon eyes in the windshield, buckteeth in the grille, and a 2x4 wrecker boom in the back.....just like "Mater" from the animated movie "Cars".

I hope the owner is enjoying it. He won’t get any kudos from me, but he’s probably not expecting any.

I doubt anyone here will be bidding on it. I don't get the point of building something with such a narrow interest base and then selling it. Maybe what they get out of it is the fun of doing it, and then hoping someone, somewhere, appreciates it enough to buy it?

It looks terrible from all aspects. From the outside it looks like it was just dragged in from the field where it sat for 40 years. The interior is garbage, flat aluminum sheeting...no skill there. The steering wheel and center console are just dumb. The worst is the airline seats. They arent even comfortable in an airplane let alone bouncing down the road. It should have been left in the field, or crushed if he was just going to ruin it anyway.

I kind of like it, a bit weird but somebody will want it and give it a good home. I'm fairly certain it could be made into a pretty nice pick-up. IMO
But, what do I know?

I sure hope they changed the steering rack and added power steering, otherwise its nearly Undriveable with that wheel.

I do see some rat rods that have interesting creative elements in them. This truck not so much. Each to their own.

Cheers Richard

That's pretty much what I was thinking but I backed it down to try and be nice.

I'm a big "it is your car do whatever want with it" but if he is looking to resell he would get a lot more $$ if he had restored it to stock.

YMMV
