Bronco in Rampage movie

Sort-of-new Ford Bronco to Co-Star in Rampage With The Rock - Motor Trend

What's up with the film trailer featuring the 2004 Brazilian based 2004 Ford Bronco concept?

Theories?

Who knows what Ford is doing at this point.

The new Ranger has been announced and from everything I have heard the Bronco will share it's platform with the Ranger. The Ford Everest sold overseas is effectively the SUV version of the new Ranger.

Ford has also said previously that they plan for the 2020 Bronco to go toe to toe with the Jeep Wrangler in every aspect except rock crawling but I think they have backed off that recently with the introduction of the newest Wrangler JL.

Wrangler JL got even larger.

At this point Fiat can slip in a smaller Jeep like thing into the line up. Those Japanese imports from the 1990's inspired by the Jeep would look like toys now.

Bronco: the 2004 concept carefully deployed to gauge public reaction to a Retro skin. Reason being fans of the Bronco have voiced in favor of this, but mass public reaction including women is hard to determine.

That's my best guess.

A daring move to put the old concept truck in a film if they go with a warmed over Everest.

Only one way to find out, put it out there?

My Daughter wants to buy the next Bronco if it is a worthy replacement for her 2008 FJ Cruiser. My Son is interested as well.

Ford sold almost 900 thousand F-150s last year so you would think there would be room for a more boutique SUV.

We'll see.

That said, I bought a used 2013 FJ Cruiser last month after looking at Jeeps...Jeeps are so small inside I couldn't pull the trigger even though I really wanted one given the rag top.

Ford may not need an undated version of the Bronco financially but youngsters are watching.

Everything I read keeps saying 4-door, even this article back in July 2017.

REPORT: FORD BRONCO TO DRAW INSPIRATION FROM BRAZIL-MARKET TROLLER
https://www.google.com/amp/www.motortrend.com/news/report-ford-bronco-to-draw-inspiration-from-brazil-market-troller/amp/

Same date.

Ford Reportedly Won't Build a Two-Door Bronco
2020 Ford Bronco - Ford Isn't Building a Two-Door Bronco

Even all the Ranger and Ranger/Raptor pick-up truck spy phots are 4-doors.

I swear 80 percent of the cars/trucks I see on the road have only one person in them. And 15 percent have 2-people in them. 5-percent have three or more occupants.

That's what I see.

I have seen those sites. My kids are 22 and 24 and are interested in what Ford is thinking...Ford should be cognizant of that.

The Troller isn't it.
