Amazing game!
Down by ten in the 4th.

Yes, the M A $ $ H O L E S were out in force today.. Good god I HATE the Patriots

chapo 01-21-2018 03:41 PM

Maybe next time you can put the score in the post title as well, so those of us who recorded the game that was only played a few hours ago don't even need to click on the post. How about SPOILER ALERT- Incredible Patriots Game - as a title next time?

mattdavis11 01-21-2018 03:58 PM

Should have been a Jacksonville win. The reeferees (yes that is spelled right) clearly had money on the Pats. The Zack fumble recovery ruled dead was the biggest eff up I've seen in a big game in a long time. Jacksonville was sure to go up 27-10 with a return for a TD. They didn't and wouldn't have had to score again.

I didn't seen a problem with the Church hit on Gronkowski. Church clearly led with his shoulder, then after the impact, Gronkowski's head snapped and made contact with Church's' helmet.

Anyway, Brady will be on his back quite a bit in the Super Bowl. Whether it be the Eagles or Vikings, it's going to be an ugly night for Brady and the Pats.

kach22i 01-21-2018 04:19 PM

Gotta give them credit, grace under pressure.

tevake 01-21-2018 05:10 PM

Yes a good game. Quite the turn around after halftime.
To me the Patriots show the focus and adjustments that it takes to be champs.

I was rooting for Jacksonville, and felt that they played a more well rounded game than expected thru three quarters, then got derailed by the increasing momentum of the Pats.
Good game!

Cheers Richard

Refs 1
Jags 0

NE couldn’t drive without a long penalty.

As for the hit on 87, well that’s karma for his hit on the defenseless player earlier in the year.

I didn't think the hit was dirty....mebbe I should take another look???

All the penalties were legit that I saw...

I used to live in Jax years ago....no bias here really though...

Brady's already scheduled for the surgery to attach another ring finger....

He'll be the first 41 year old QB with six fingers :)

Like him or not...Brady is something special...just like Montana was imo.

black73 01-22-2018 02:52 AM

Brady gets in a pinch, he just throws up a jump ball and waits for the flag. Works every time.

stevej37 01-22-2018 03:17 AM

Needs updating.:)

Guess you missed the late hits and the flagrant on Gronkowski! JAC caused their own damage!

I did not see a single bad call made on the Jags...did you?

edited this post...I'm referring to the pass interfence calls only....get's misinterpreted when not following the Brady comment...

I know better than come here when I don't want a spoiler.
There's ALWAYS somebody that doesn't understand proper etiquette and ruins the game.

BK911 01-22-2018 03:54 AM

But yea, awesome game!!

Baz 01-22-2018 04:20 AM

FTR......I learned long ago not to frequent talk forums if I don't want to know how a game turned out.

Why spend time on a forum anyway when you could be watching the game that you recorded?

A too-quick whistle on Jack's fumble recovery. Should've let things play out, then go to the monitors versus immediately blowing the play dead.

Was Jack down by contact or not?

I was referring to the post about Brady throwing it up and waiting for a flag...all the PI flags were good calls imo...

sammyg2 01-22-2018 06:53 AM

50 years from now they will be talking about the greatest football dynasty ever, and we are fortunate enough to be experiencing it.

Except for the people who hate success because it somehow makes their life seem like less ......

There's a lot of pushing and shoving and grabbing going on in the defensive backfield these days. The interference calls could have gone either way, thus no call should have been made. That's the way most games I watch have been called. And, yes, I did see what appeared to be some offensive holding on NE that wasn't called. Refs just let 'em play in the playoffs, you know...except when Brady throws a jump ball. Were there any offensive pass interference calls on NE? Defensive interference on NE?

Waaaaah...did you bet on the Jags or something :)? I watched the game with no real bias...just like most I watch. There are holds on just about every play in the NFL, and every single PI called on the Jags would have been called in any game...imo. It was a well played game by both teams, the officials are never gonna get it 100% right, and basically, it was officiated pretty well imo. But that's neither here nor there....some make excuses, some just find a way to win....no matter what...like Brady and Montana :).

I'm sure my Jax buddies will agree with you though ;)

stevej37 01-22-2018 08:14 AM

From last SB..still fun! :)

Hmm, will you look at that.

For the season.

Defensive Pass Interference.
Jaguars - 7
Pats - 6

Offensive Pass Interference.
Jaguars - 5
Pats - 8

Oh wait, there's more.

3rd highest penalized team this season.

EDIT: Apologies, that stat is penalties that a team benefited from so the Pats were 3rd highest in benefiting from opponents penalties.

This is the stat for penalties committed.

http://www.nflpenalties.com/phase.php?year=2017

Seems Jacksonville was consistent in their propensity to draw a flag.

As you grovel over Brady. Best ever! LOL! I didn't bet, certainly not a Jags fan. That's just the way it looked to me.
I watch with the mute on, only listening to the occasional replay explanation by the refs. Tune out constant chatter. Makes the games more interesting for me. You should try it sometime.

The NFL is a business, the Super Bowl is a TV show. Biggest show ever, every year. You can't have a TV show without a star. The Jags are boring. The Eagles and Vikings are boring. Brady is a SUPERSTAR!!!! Yay ratings! I wish someone could count the number of times the word Brady is spoken or written in national media the next two weeks. The number would be Huge! Can you imagine being a ESPN commentator and being faced with trying to hype a Bortles/Foles matchup as the biggest game ever? What would you have to talk about after the first five minutes? The refs bailed them and the NFL out...or not. LOL!

If the Pats had won convincingly, there would be no argument. They were not the better team yesterday.

Black I just have one thing to say man....

Dilly dilly :)

I didn't care who won...just like to see great games....it was that!

Brady? Yep....I put him right up there with Montana now....didn't think that until the last SB...do now. And I followed Joe ever since he was at ND and introduced (on national TV) one of his lineman as "Big Dick Somebody" :)

....... the heartbreak was in the Jags’ locker room, where players communicated in mostly hushed tones and stunned sentences.

“He’s a hell of a player,” safety Jarrod Wilson said. “You’ve got to play a damn near perfect game against them.”

“Willed his team to victory,” safety Barry Church said. “It’s tough. It’s tough.”

“The greatest quarterback of all time,” cornerback Jalen Ramsey said.

“I’m sick about it,” cornerback A.J. Bouye said.

No one knew what else to say. So close, so far, so long. Soon the Jaguars would zip up their bags and drag them to the bus and head into the offseason like so many others before them, rolling into another Foxborough night full of regret and disappointment, left with a lifetime to remember how it all slipped away.

“Sad,” Myles Jack could only say. “Sad.”

Tom Brady. Again.
espn.

We'll see where all you so called Pats fans are after this dynasty ends... oh, and it will!

Amazing to think a franchise known for cheating (multiple times), hooks with the Commissioner, Ref's, you name it..., QB that cries like a baby to the refs when hit can't be hated....???
You have got to be kidding me.

The 70's Steelers, Cowboys & Raiders would have dismantled the Pats and spit out their bones!

Enjoy this run, get your #2 team ready...

Seahawk 01-22-2018 10:04 AM

This is a 17 year run of excellence, unmatched in professional sports

I am a life long 49'er fan, lived the sorrow and the dream.

Patriots?

Stop whining about the refs and get some Vagisil. Beat them at their game: a buttoned-up, team oriented, no talk, just play approach. Exploit the rules, welcome change and adjust.

17 years.
