Ruger PC Carbine
Ever have an idea for a product and think: "I'm glad no one makes something like this, because I'd have to go out and buy it right away if they did."
That pretty much sums up the Ruger PC Carbine for me. It's a 9mm rifle that accepts Ruger and Glock magazines and is a takedown rifle. ![]() Looks like I'll be trading in my Kel-Tec Sub 2000 (and my Taurus TCP, and my derringer...)

Won't buy one, but I really like my Glock mag fed AR-9
Based on listing prices at gunbroker, you can buy/build a AR-9 cheaper. And then have a LOT more after market parts possibilities. Heck, if you already own an AR you can get a glock-mag mag block now from Stern and just put a new upper on. |

I figure a built-out AR lower is about $150 and I haven't found a 9mm upper in the $300-$350 range. (The ones I've found are over double that.)

Have a PC9. Loads of fun. Light and cheap to shoot.

I was going to start a threat about what 9mm carbine to buy, I guess this answers that question.

hahah..
no. i dont need a 9mm rifle. seems more like a anti personnel tool at that point. Ruger has been letting out some great rifles!! the scout rifles and things are awesome..and they have that really cool ruger american .22.

If I did not already have a Ranch Rifle, I would be very interested in this rig. Would be cheap to shoot.

Still think buying/building a AR-9 is the way to go. Complete PSA lower set up for Glock mags ran me $210 out the door early last year, they are still available for $199 + shipping/xfer - AR-9 Lowers - AR-9 - KS-47 / AR-45 / AR-9 Spinta blem bolt for $115 after shipping - BLEM 9mm Nitride Bolt Carrier Group - Spinta Precision Slick side upper - $80 - AERO PRECISION AR15 NO FORWARD ASSIST UPPER RECEIVER | MAS Defense Barrel $70 - https://www.midwayusa.com/product/588149/ar-stoner-barrel-ar-15-9mm-luger-medium-contour-1-2-36-thread-1-in-10-twist-16-chrome-moly-phosphate Cheap free float tube w/ barrel nut, etc. on ebay for $40. So just about $500 ... PSA also has a complete glock mag 9mm AR "pistol" w/ "arm brace" for $500 right now as a SHOT show special. |
