I saw that he had passed away. I got many hours of enjoyment from his films and was greatly inspired by them to do ill advised things that failed to lead to my demise.

I saw yesterday that he had passed away. What a life he lived. Like Tobra his films inspired me back when I used to be really into skiing and snowboarding. We used to kick off each ski season by going to see his annual film at a local theater. RIP.

Inspiring movies and great locations. Probably inspired many right into an orthpod's office

What a sense of humor as well.

RIP Warren

Yep.

He really brought skiers together as people - all sharing the love of the recreation.

Now, if you want yer skis, go get 'em

Agreed, nothing would kick off the season more than going to see his movies.

RIP

Like many of you, we used to start the ski season with a Warren Miller film. The slopes would be not yet open, but the film got everyone excited about the ski season! They made you just yearn for opening day.

That is too bad, really nice man. My parents met him while boating up the BC coast in the 80s. He came to dinner at our house a couple of times when he was in town with a new movie release. We would get comped the tickets. It was great to meet him as at the time I was a skiing crazed teenager.

RIP Warren. I just spent 2 days ripping knee deep powder with my family. I was thinking about Warren’s films on Saturday. My kids haven’t seen any of them yet.
