^^ The realist.

On the other hand, maybe that’s his beater and he has a ‘66 Fastback in the garage.

You can get reproduction sheet metal for any part of an early Rustang

You can get a body in white for an early Mustang and just transfer over the mechanical bits.

Fiats and Vegas/Pintos would totally rust out in four years when I was a kid in New England. I once put my foot entirely through the door sill and rocker of a Fiat straight through from the top. That car was 6. I had a 68 124 spider, and had it rustproofed 2 times. Drove it in the salt one time, and lost the box ends of the rockers and got a little rust at the back of the front fender. I flushed out those rockers too, once a year. By 79, Fiats had plastic fender liners and better ruyst protection, which is why most of the spiders you see on the road are 79 or newer. The rear wheel arches go, but the rockers and front end remain intact.

It was the floor pans that went out first in a Mustang, but those early cars deteriorated fast. I could never drive that car in the salt.

Spencer for Hire drove a vintage fastback and the show was set in Boston. Why can't this guy too?

That's my temp DD while I get my lower mile E320 back on the road. It's going on BaT in about a month. 190K miles and drives as nicely as my other one with 90K.
